Supervise work execution (Erection, Commissioning and any modification) on site during project and later as an Engineer in maintenance activities.
Develop and maintain condition monitoring systems for rotating machinery, electrical equipment, and critical plant assets.
Analyze data using advanced tools such as vibration analysis, oil analysis, thermal imaging, ultrasonic testing, and motor current signature analysis to predict potential failures.
Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies based on condition monitoring insights.
Provide expert technical guidance on reliability improvement, troubleshooting, and maintenance strategies for power plant equipment.
Conduct root cause analysis of equipment failures and recommend corrective and preventive actions to avoid recurrence.
Maintain detailed records of equipment condition, monitoring results, and maintenance activities. Prepare reports and present findings to management/HOD.
Train plant personnel on condition monitoring techniques, reliability practices, and safety standards.
Ensure adherence to plant safety protocols, statutory requirements, and ISO standards during monitoring and maintenance activities.
Monitor and analyze energy consumption patterns to identify opportunities for efficiency improvement and cost reduction.
Identify and implement reliability improvement projects, including upgrades to monitoring systems and adoption of new technologies.
Implement and sustain the 5S system (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) to maintain organized and safe work areas.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Power Plant experience preferred)
Hands-on experience with diagnostic tools (vibration analyzers, thermal cameras, ultrasonic testers), SAP or CMMS systems, and reliability software
Strong ability to interpret data and predict equipment failures
Familiarity with power plant systems (turbines, generators, transformers, switchyard equipment, VFDs, IMCC panels)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting and training purposes.
