Drive modern quality engineering practices by embedding continuous validation into delivery pipelines and reducing reliance on late-stage testing.
Improve automation reliability, signal quality, and maintainability so teams can act on results with confidence.
Introduce practical AI-enabled and data-driven approaches to testing, analysis, and engineering decision support.
Identify and remove systemic constraints such as unstable environments, test data limitations, and unclear pipeline failure signals.
Create reusable patterns, reference approaches, and technical guidance that can scale across teams.
Provide technical leadership through credibility, collaboration, and deep engineering expertise rather than organizational authority.
Requirements
Typically 15+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, SDET, or Software Engineering.
Proven success improving how teams build, test, and release software on a scale.
Deep hands-on understanding of automation, CI/CD, and modern engineering practices.
Ability to influence across teams and functions without direct authority.
Comfort operating with both technical depth and enterprise-wide systems thinking.
Experience introducing smarter, more automated, or AI-enabled approaches to testing and delivery is a plus.
Experience in environments where stability, control, and reliability are critical is preferred.
Higher level education such as a Masters degree, or PhD is desirable.
Specific certifications are often required. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.
