Will work on developing and integrating services in a legacy Mainframe environment.
Operate and monitor batch flows in Control‑M (Mainframe), ensuring SLA compliance.
Analyze, correct, release and reprocess/restart jobs.
Perform quick investigations in programs to identify root causes and execution parameters.
Make changes to JCLs and COBOL/DB2 programs (steps, DD statements, parameters, datasets, conditionals, return codes).
Adjust and validate SYSINs (cards/execution parameters).
Implement changes and perform analyses on COBOL programs and JCLs following the change management process (when applicable).
Requirements
Bachelor's degree.
Strong experience with Control‑M on Mainframe (dependencies, rerun/restart, troubleshooting).
Expertise in JCL and SYSIN.
Experience in failure analysis and working in a TSO/ISPF environment.
Practical knowledge of batch processing: return codes/steps, datasets (e.g., GDG/VSAM depending on client context).
Maintenance and analysis of COBOL/DB2 programs.
Knowledge of Oracle databases.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
Ability to decompose complex problems into smaller tasks.
Knowledge of development architecture patterns.
Experience using collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence.
Experience in Micro Focus COBOL development for the Gravity environment.
Proficiency in Spanish.
Previous experience with the F1RST working methodology.
Knowledge of utilities (e.g., SORT, IDCAMS).
Experience with supporting tools.
Solid experience in online environments.
Strong knowledge of CICS and COBOL/DB2.
Sense of urgency and focus on quickly restoring batch flows.
Analytical reasoning and objective investigation (rapid diagnosis).
Organizational discipline to record actions and evidence (traceability).
Clear communication with development, business and operations teams.
