About this role
Role Overview
Lead the design and evolution of the C2C platform
Act as subject matter expert for AWS infrastructure
Build truly cloud-native systems prioritizing elastic scalability and zero-trust security
Provide leadership through design reviews and mentorship
Set standards for AI-assisted engineering best practices
Take ownership of the developer experience with coding tools
Identify bottlenecks in delivery pipeline and implement improvement strategies
Use AI to automate various technical tasks
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
10+ years of software engineering experience, with a significant portion dedicated to distributed systems and high-traffic cloud environments
Deep proficiency in AWS services like Lambda, Kinesis, DynamoDB, and API Gateway
Familiarity with the AWS Well-Architected Framework
Understanding of public-facing schemas and APIs
Proven track record of leading cross-team initiatives
Ability to influence without authority and translate complex technical trade-offs for non-technical stakeholders
Regular mentorship to grow the technical expertise of engineers
Deep knowledge of security considerations in software design
Direct experience with IoT protocols (Matter, Zigbee, Z-Wave) or ecosystem integrations (Google Home, Alexa, Apple HomeKit) (Desired Skill)
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes
Experience contributing to open-source projects or industry standards (Desired Skill)
Passion for automating everything, from infrastructure to testing (Desired Skill)
