Assistant Attorney General – Medicaid Fraud Division

Role Overview

• Managing a caseload of complex civil and criminal matters.
• Partnering with federal and state agencies and civilian investigators to investigate fraud allegations.
• Conducting criminal and civil investigations, including drafting legal documents and subpoenas.
• Engaging in settlement and plea negotiations.
• Litigating criminal and civil enforcement actions, including handling motions and conducting trials.

Requirements

• Must be a member of the Massachusetts Bar.
• Three (3) to six (6) years of civil litigation experience or criminal prosecution experience.
• Background in complex civil litigation, health care fraud litigation, and False Claims Act litigation preferred.
• Excellent oral and written advocacy skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to exercise sound judgment and decision making.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Applicants must be Massachusetts Bar eligible at the time of application and must apply for admission before their start date.
