Wedding Designer – Independent Wedding Decorator

Role Overview

• Take responsibility for the event scenography: selection of colors, atmosphere and visual identity
• Source and coordinate vendors
• Graphic design of wedding invitations and stationery
• Design and create decorative items and props
• Manage client relationships
• Set up and install the decor on site
• Participate in an introductory training program for the Wedding Designer profession

Requirements

• Interest in decoration, events and temporary (ephemeral) installations
• Ability to manage clients' changing preferences
• Ability to work within tight budgets
• Demonstrated creativity
• Energetic, flexible and available
• Ability to make quick decisions and provide appropriate solutions
• Excellent interpersonal skills and maintenance of a network of reliable vendors
