Own and deliver compliance monitoring – identify emerging risks, assess customer impact, and drive practical, proportionate remediation
Provide clear, actionable reporting – draft high-quality updates for senior management and the Board
Stay ahead of regulation – track FCA developments and translate them into clear, business-relevant actions
Maintain and strengthen our control environment – support the review and continuous improvement of policies and frameworks
Partner across the business – build strong relationships and act as a trusted advisor on compliance matters
Support customer outcomes – act as an escalation point for complex cases (e.g. complaints, fraud risk)
Contribute to financial crime oversight – support AML assessments and advise the MLRO
Work closely with the Chief Compliance Officer – provide input on regulatory risk, product development, and strategic initiatives
Requirements
Early in your compliance career (up to ~3 years’ experience), or a strong academic candidate (numerate or legal degree) looking to move into financial services compliance
Working knowledge of relevant FCA Handbook requirements
Practical understanding of Consumer Duty and what good customer outcomes look like
Strong judgement and risk assessment skills
Ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism
Clear, confident communicator – comfortable engaging up to executive level
Strong written and numerical skills, including preparing Board-level materials
