About this role
Role Overview
Responsible for the track and trace of inbound freight shipments from multiple vendor distribution centers to Burlington’s DC campuses
Analyze and monitor vendor performance on a regular basis
Identify low performing vendors and create strategic action plans to improve overall shipping performance
Demonstrate forward thinking and proactively come up with ideas and suggested solutions to address potential issues
Focus on building strong relationships with merchants by maintaining a reputation of credibility and responsiveness to others
Assist merchants by providing support and analysis as needed regarding the whereabouts of their merchandise
Build partnerships with vendors, domestic carriers, and various internal partners to ensure timely pick up & deliveries
Navigate internal and external partnerships in person and virtually to review any issues or concerns, and to coordinate timely shipments
Generate daily reporting to track and monitor the movement of all purchase orders from creation to receipt
Responsible for coordinating, preparing, and driving recap meetings with all levels of our merchant and leadership teams
Create ad hoc reports as needed
Ability to publish accurate reports in a timely manner with a strong attention to detail
Communicate critical information to internal and external partners in a clear, concise, and professional manner
Ability to effectively run internal and external partner meetings independently, adapting to different audiences and situations
Requirements
Ability to interact with all levels, vendors, carriers, 3rd party providers and internal stakeholders
Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
College degree preferred
Bilingual (Spanish, Korean or Chinese) a plus
Effective communication skills, including writing, speaking and interpersonal communication
Quick critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Excellent customer service and client relations skills
Must have good organization and time management skills
Good collaboration and teamwork abilities
Great goal-setting skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Flexible work schedule that may be required during peak season for non-standard work hours
Possible minimal travel including day trips to our New York office and local stores
