Service Parts Expeditor / Service Writer

Role Overview

• Reads production schedules, inventory reports, and work orders to determine type and quantity of materials required.
• Confers with department supervisors to determine overdue material and parts.
• Directs warehouse staff to expedite the transfer of materials from stock area to production areas.
• Examines material received, verifies parts numbers, and checks discrepancies.
• Compares work ticket specifications to the material used at work stations.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Clean driving record
• Experience handling parts inventory
• Attention to detail and sense of urgency
• Comfortable working with all levels of the organization
• Background in parts, fleets, tanks or be mechanically inclined.
