Defines and leads the procurement strategy to support company, department, and Operations goals, including supply continuity, inventory optimization, and cost effectiveness.
Aligns procurement priorities with Planning, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Field Services, and Finance to ensure materials and supplier capabilities support business needs.
Leads strategic supplier relationships, including performance reviews, issue escalation, risk mitigation, and opportunities for improved quality, lead time, and total cost.
Establishes governance expectations for procurement-related master data, including supplier records, item data, purchasing parameters, lead times, pricing, and planning inputs.
In collaboration with the Director, contributes to and manages the team budget, procurement forecasts, and spend priorities.
Uses relevant and actionable data to guide decision-making, communicate trade-offs, and escalate risks or constraints to stakeholders in a timely manner.
Supports executive and business reviews by preparing clear, data-backed updates, presentations, and recommendations that translate procurement performance, risks, and priorities into actionable leadership insights.
Oversees procurement execution, including purchasing workflows, purchase order management, shortage response, supplier communication, and support for delivery commitments.
Establishes and improves processes, standards, and reporting practices that enable the team to manage workload, priorities, service levels, and procurement data accurately.
Leads continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory planning, master data integrity, supplier performance, ERP usage, and procurement controls.
Partners with Planning, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Finance on demand and supply planning, new product introduction, engineering change reviews, and prioritization decisions to support operational readiness.
Uses ERP data, inventory signals, supplier performance trends, and business priorities to support fact-based decisions and reduce reliance on manual follow-up or assumptions.
Ensures procurement documentation, supplier records, item data, purchasing parameters, and agreements are maintained accurately and updated as business needs evolve.
Acts as a champion of company values by promoting and integrating them into daily operations, employee engagement, and organizational initiatives.
Coaches and mentors existing team members to reach their fullest potential.
Conducts performance evaluations and identifies top performers/persons needing support.
Builds trusted relationships by actively listening and delivering fair and honest feedback.
Collaborates with the People (HR) Team on recruitment strategies and participates in attracting new talent and the entire employee life cycle.
Implements strategies to effectively remove team member roadblocks while advocating for team resources and technologies.
Oversees the development and execution of department-specific programs to accelerate and maximize the effectiveness of new hires & existing team members.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree specialized in a relevant discipline such as Business, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Operations, or a similar field.
Generally, 6+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, inventory management, planning, or related operational roles, preferably in a manufacturing or technology environment
Generally, 2 to 4+ years of experience in a people leadership role is preferred.
Strong understanding of procurement operations, supplier relationship management, ERP systems, master data management, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision-making
Experience using operational data, reporting tools, and business systems to identify trends, improve process discipline, and support practical recommendations
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications (e.g., Excel, Teams, SharePoint).
Comfortable operating in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
Data-driven, execution-focused mindset.
Manufacturing, industrial, or mining-adjacent experience preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; Spanish language is an asset.
