About this role
Role Overview
- Assess and document the current IBM FileNet environment, including infrastructure, applications, integrations, and custom components.
- Define the target architecture and upgrade strategy for the ECM platform.
- Lead the design and implementation of new FileNet environments (DEV, UAT, and PRD).
- Install, configure, and optimize IBM FileNet platform components.
- Manage migration activities for content repositories, metadata, workflows, security configurations, and integrations.
- Ensure compatibility and functionality of existing business applications and modules after the upgrade.
- Support the migration and validation of GxP-relevant systems and processes.
- Coordinate technical activities across multiple teams, including infrastructure, network, security, compliance, and testing.
- Support integration testing, performance testing, failover testing, and user acceptance testing.
- Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting throughout the project lifecycle.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation, architecture documents, migration plans, and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with IBM support and third-party vendors when required.
- Support production cutover planning and post-go-live stabilization activities.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with IBM FileNet platforms.
- Proven experience delivering IBM FileNet upgrade, migration, or implementation projects in enterprise environments.
- Strong knowledge of IBM Content Platform Engine (CPE).
- Strong knowledge of IBM Content Navigator (ICN).
- Experience with IBM Content Search Services.
- Experience with IBM WebSphere Application Server administration and configuration.
- Experience with LDAP / Active Directory integration.
- Understanding of FileNet object stores, document classes, metadata models, workflows, and security architecture.
- Experience working with high-availability and clustered environments.
- Knowledge of database platforms such as Oracle, DB2, or Microsoft SQL Server.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
