You act as both architect and implementer — you design the BTP landscape, make strategic technology decisions and also contribute to development.
You are responsible for integrations, extensions and new cloud applications on SAP BTP and serve as the technical point of reference for everything that happens between S/4HANA and the cloud world.
Architecture & design: Design and further development of the SAP BTP architecture including subaccount structure, connectivity and security.
Technology decisions in the areas of integration, extension and application development on BTP.
Development of cloud-native applications and extensions using SAP CAP (Cloud Application Programming Model), SAP Build Apps or SAPUI5/Fiori Elements.
Implementation of integration scenarios with SAP Integration Suite (Cloud Integration, API Management, Event Mesh).
Connection of S/4HANA, third-party solutions and external services via BTP.
Technical leadership of BTP projects — from requirements gathering to go-live.
Close collaboration with SAP Basis, application teams, IT architecture and business stakeholders.
Requirements
Several years of experience in development and architecture on SAP BTP — you know the platform broadly and in depth
Solid knowledge in at least two of the following areas: SAP CAP, SAP Integration Suite, SAP Build, SAPUI5/Fiori, SAP Event Mesh, SAP API Management
Experience with Cloud Foundry or Kyma runtime environments on BTP
Understanding of S/4HANA architecture and the distinction between side-by-side and embedded extensions
Knowledge of modern development practices: Git, CI/CD, DevOps in the SAP context
Ability to think at the whiteboard level and deliver hands-on
Strong communicator who can operate on equal terms — with developers as well as IT decision-makers
Fluent in German, spoken and written.
