Partner closely with operational and commercial teams, providing insight into business performance, profitability, cash flow, and key financial metrics.
Oversee the monthly close process and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.
Review and approve complex journals, including revenue recognition, cost of sales, payroll, and other accounting adjustments.
Manage the preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliations and prepare monthly management accounts.
Conduct variance analysis across revenue, marketing spend, operating costs, and profitability metrics.
Analyze financial performance, provide recommendations for decision-making, and monitor key performance indicators.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
CA(SA), CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
5-8+ years of progressive finance experience, including management responsibilities.
Strong experience in financial reporting, management accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial controls.
Experience managing tax compliance and statutory reporting.
Proven people leadership experience.
Experience within betting, gaming, fintech, payments, e-commerce, or a highly regulated environment.
Experience working with large transaction volumes and complex reconciliations.
Exposure to ERP systems and business intelligence/reporting tools.
Strong commercial and financial acumen.
