About this role

Oversee the monthly GL reconciliation process, balance sheet and P&L variance analysis
Manage resources to meet month-end deadlines and ensure assigned accounting areas comply with US GAAP
Work collaboratively with stakeholders and cross-functional teams both internationally and locally
Design and implement SOX & non-SOX processes related to financial statements
Build a best-in-class controllership team, through an ongoing system of recruitment, development, recognition, and performance management
Assist the Assistant Controller with reporting requirements and other tasks

5+ years of progressive accounting experience in a mid-large size organization
3+ years of leadership experience managing a team
Strong knowledge and application of GAAP
An accounting designation (e.g. CPA, CA)
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience with large and complex data sets and related tools
Experience working in a retail environment is considered a bonus
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office and experience with various BI tools is preferred
