About this role
Role Overview
- Collaborates with team members to develop proposals, scopes, and fees.
- Serve as Engineer-of-Record on aviation civil design projects.
- Prepare, review, and seal engineering calculations, plans, and specifications.
- Ensure technical accuracy and code compliance across all phases of civil design.
- Apply sound engineering judgment to solve complex site layout, grading, drainage, and utility challenges.
- Mentor junior engineers and designers in civil engineering principles and software tools (e.g., Civil 3D).
- Coordinate with permitting agencies and regulatory bodies to ensure environmental and FAA compliance.
- Support proposal development and technical content for business development pursuits.
- Engage in internal design reviews, peer QA/QC checks, and client technical meetings.
- Maintain current knowledge of industry codes, technologies, and aviation design practices.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
- Professional engineer registration (PE) in OK.
- Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and civil design software.
- Strong working knowledge of FAA design standards, stormwater management, and site development.
- Demonstrated experience leading the technical design of aviation or transportation infrastructure projects.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to perform engineering work independently and ethically, with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with environmental regulations, construction practices, and workplace safety standards.
