About this role
Role Overview
- Develop requirements and algorithms, concepts of operations, and define system interfaces
- Develop and implement test plans, procedures, integration, and verification documentation in both simulated and real-world environments
- Identify and resolve hardware, software, and system issues through detailed data analysis and debugging
- Collaborate across functions to drive performance improvements and resolve system issues
- Develop and execute models to predict system performance and support verification and validation
- Integrate hardware and software into tactical systems, evaluating their functionality and impact
- Work with and lead a multi-disciplinary team to achieve seamless integration and system functionality
- Develop integration documentation, execute plans, analyze data, verify requirements and effectively communicate results to leadership and stakeholders
- Conduct statistical and numerical analysis of radar performance data to ensure optimal system performance and verify requirements
- Present technical findings and solutions to leadership and customers
- Travel as needed (up to 20%) to support mission execution at various locations including local RTX facilities, test sites, vendor facilities, and customer locations
Requirements
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
- A minimum of 8 years of prior engineering experience
- Experience with systems software
- Experience with systems hardware
- Experience with systems requirements
- Experience with systems integration
- Experience with systems test
- Experience with DOORS, Rhapsody, Cameo, or other digital engineering tools (preferred)
- Experience with model-based engineering (preferred)
- Experience developing and managing requirements (preferred)
- Experience developing both scripts and functions with MATLAB (preferred)
- Experience with C++, Python, or similar (preferred)
- Experience with generating technical documentation, such as test plans, procedures, or technical reports (preferred)
- Experience working in an integration lab, test facility, or in the field, supporting integration and/or verification (preferred)
