Provides technical leadership on small, moderately complex, low risk enhancement projects or support teams, with little supervision.
Delivers moderately complex code/configuration changes as part of a larger implementation under a moderate level of supervision in a primarily full-stack development environment including front-end, policy, integration, and cloud.
This opportunity is for an Agentic Engineer in ERIE's AI Center of Excellence.
The focus of this position is hands-on development of ERIE's Agentic Lifecycle capability, including the design, build, testing, integration, documentation, and support of agentic software solutions that help delivery teams use AI-powered teammates safely and effectively.
Work with senior engineers, architects, platform teams, Information Security, governance partners, and delivery teams to implement agent workflows, skills, prompts, APIs, automation, test assets, documentation, runbooks, and evidence artifacts.
Generate, review and debug code/configurations that contribute to a larger product.
Create designs, unit tests, and code/configuration that are reviewed and approved by a more senior engineer.
Execute tasks in the software development life cycle.
Develop tools and applications by producing clean, efficient code.
Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting.
Perform validation and verification testing (unit and integration testing).
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in IT, MIS, or related field and three years' related experience; or Associate's degree in technical field, plus five years' related experience; or High school diploma plus seven years' related experience.
Possesses moderate acumen with continued growth in experience, breadth, and depth in one or more of the following practice areas: front-end, full-stack, back-end, mainframe, integration, document management, or data science, required.
Willingness to pursue a certification in one or more preferred technologies at ERIE required.
