Role Overview
- Support the Regional General Counsel – Europe on legal and transaction-related matters
- Manage the entire transaction process from structuring through closing
- Draft, review and negotiate contracts, term sheets, letters of intent (LOIs) and notarized deeds
- Conduct legal and real estate due diligence (leases, ownership/title matters)
- Prepare and review closing documentation (e.g., closing statements)
- Oversee the closing process for accuracy and deadline compliance
- Communicate with brokers, property owners and internal stakeholders
- Coordinate external advisors (lawyers, notaries, banks, fund managers)
- Collaborate with the US legal team, including reporting and regular alignment meetings
- Manage and organize documents in internal systems (e.g., SharePoint)
- Track transactions in internal tools
- Manage payment processes related to closings
- Support reporting on due diligence and transaction status
- Advise on property tax issues
- Train the origination team on real estate law matters
- Provide legal support on matters in other European jurisdictions
Requirements
- Qualified attorney in Germany (Volljurist) or equivalent qualification
- Professional experience in real estate law and transactional work
- Solid knowledge of due diligence and closing processes
- Experience working with notaries and external advisors
- Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask
- Fluent German and English (business/professional proficiency)
