About this role
Role Overview
Oversee accurate and timely posting of gifts and receipts to the general ledger.
Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls and procedures regarding receipt processing.
Partner with donor operations to support stewardship activities and reporting.
Create and maintain gift fund structures and general ledger accounts.
Assist with the implementation of CRM systems ensuring data integrity.
Support evaluation, acceptance, and accounting treatment of complex gifts.
Prepare audit schedules and documentation for annual financial audits.
Train and mentor new and existing staff on departmental processes.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree required; graduate degree preferred.
10+ years of related experience required.
Experience in nonprofit finance, contract compliance, grants management, and governance preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational, project management, and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems; experience with Raiser's Edge and Financial Edge preferred.
Valid driver's license required.
