Project Management

Role Overview

• Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management
• Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports
• Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives
• Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients
• Coordinate with program team & leadership to execute Class 1 change mgt & program performance metrics reporting both internal and external
• Assist with management and processing of LHA Class 1 changes as separately tasked by the customer by Technical Instruction (TI)
• Assist with managing change to include engineering scoping thru tech-lock; followed by estimating and pricing proposal development
• Assist with assembly and submittal of CDRLs for technical agreement and price proposals
• Assist with tracking and reporting of Class 1 change status
• Additional support for waivers, deviations, and hold harmless
• Review data collected and conduct multi-level/cross functional program performance analysis, trend analysis and variance analysis to identify areas of concern and inform Program Leadership as required during report development
• Interface with all Functional Divisions as required to address areas of concern, performance issues and recovery plans
• Attend program and other functional organization meetings to understand the key drivers affecting program performance
• Review SDRLs and CDRLs to ensure content meets requirements
• Support post-delivery activities to include open DD250 closure, pier side or off-site execution

Requirements

• High School Diploma and 7 years of experience -or
• Bachelors degree and 3 years of experience -or
• Masters degree or above and 1 year of experience
• Program and/or Project management
• Planning/engineering experience
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge with Microsoft tools
• Understanding of earned value
• Experience in understanding contractual documentation
• Purchase specifications
• Configuration management
• Metrics analysis
• Budgeting
• Ability to multi-task
• Good communication and analytical skills
• Skilled in the development of worksheets, charts, graphs, and presentations using MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint applications
• Experience and ability to interact with all levels of management across the value stream, as well as external customers
