Role Overview
- Provide technical direction and education to programmers, analysts and technical support associates
- Mentors and assists Infrastructure resources on infrastructure service along with application integration validation methods and tools
- Serve as a seasoned/proficient technical resource and contribute to technical knowledge
- Demonstrates expertise within technical domains and promotes exceptional design and engineering practices
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in mainframe engineering
- 5-10 years of solid experience in z/OS engineering
- Strong TCP/IP and SNA/APPN problem solving and protocol skills
- In-depth working knowledge of TCP, UDP, ICMP communications and routing protocols
- 10-15 years in design, development, coordination and implementation of Mainframe network engineering activities within z/OS and z/VM
