IP Facility Coder, CCS – Medical Records

Role Overview

• Code all types of hospital records: inpatient/outpatient, ED, Home Health & Hospice
• Ensure adherence to Hospital and Departmental Policies and Procedures
• Review patients' entire medical record and assign appropriate codes

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED required
• Valid coding certifications at time of hire (CCS, CCS-P, CPC-H, RHIT/RHIA)
• Three to five years experience as a coder required
