Explain how you would lead advisory conversations—covering question frameworks, setting goal priorities, and discussing trade-offs (e.g., mortgage payments versus 401(k) matching, debt repayment versus investing).
Communicate actionable decision-making guidelines and common rules of thumb used with real clients (such as cash reserve goals or savings rate targets).
Provide written feedback aimed at improving AI-generated explanations, suggested next steps, and trade-off presentations—emphasizing clear and empathetic language for non-expert audiences.
Identify compliance and risk factors, advising when to remain within scope or refer clients to specialists such as CPAs, attorneys, or insurance professionals.
Requirements
Several years of direct client experience as a Financial Planner/Advisor, Personal Financial Consultant, or in a similar role serving mainstream households (with typical W-2 income, employer-sponsored retirement plans, common debts, and insurance needs).
Proven expertise in budgeting, cash flow management, debt reduction, retirement planning, education savings, and risk management for everyday clients.
CFP® certification is highly preferred (or passed CFP exam with relevant experience); however, ChFC or other credentials may be considered if accompanied by substantial practical experience.
Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities, capable of explaining trade-offs in straightforward and reassuring terms.
Strong professional ethics, a solid compliance mindset, and dedication to fiduciary and client-first principles.
Practical experience with standardized planning processes and a proactive approach to solving financial challenges.
Experience integrating holistic planning with financial coaching, particularly in mass-market or workplace advisor settings (preferred).
Experience mentoring junior advisors or developing planning process materials such as checklists, playbooks, and workflows (preferred).
