CAD Design Technician

Role Overview

• Provide technical support to local and regional municipalities in engineering and municipal infrastructure matters.
• Prepare plans and specifications, sketches, cost estimates, and tender documents for construction works (roads, watermains, sewers, culverts, etc.).
• Design municipal infrastructure (watermains, sewers, roadways, etc.) and perform all calculations and other tasks required for design.
• Produce drawings, standard cross-sections, plans, and designs using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Prepare and update intervention plans.
• Perform any other related tasks as requested by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Hold a college diploma in Civil Engineering Technology.
• Have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience related to civil and municipal engineering or in a similar role.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and MS Project.
• Familiarity with regulations and standards relating to municipal infrastructure.
• Experience in designing municipal infrastructure.
• Flexible with work schedules.
• Any combination of education and professional experience, as well as other relevant experience, will be considered.
