About this role
Role Overview
You manage the operational KV business across all MVZ (medical care centers) accurately and in a timely manner — while also thinking strategically for the group.
You build the function rather than just administer it.
You prepare and process all applications with the Associations of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians (KVen/KV) — for employed physicians, assistant physicians in training, services requiring approval, representative notifications, and the registration/deregistration of medical assistants (NäPa).
You are responsible for licensing and approval procedures — from employment and billing approvals to relocations of practice locations and expansions — complete and on time with the admissions committee and the KV.
You independently maintain the KV master data for all MVZ and keep it up to date: locations, care mandates, employment relationships, approvals and deadlines.
You handle the registration and deregistration of physicians for participation in the GP-centered care program (HZV) and with the General Practitioners’ Association.
You coordinate the registration and deregistration of VERAHs within the HZV framework (HÄVG).
You support the application and management of training sites in coordination with those authorized to provide training.
You establish a reliable deadline and process monitoring system across all MVZ and document procedures thoroughly.
You develop KV and licensing management as a function — processes, templates, internal QM — instead of merely managing it, and make your knowledge scalable.
Requirements
Completed training in the healthcare sector (e.g., Medical Assistant, MFA) or an equivalent qualification
Several years of experience in KV/licensing administration — you are confident with application, admission, approval and notification procedures
Solid knowledge of contract medical law (Ärzte-ZV, SGB V), needs planning and the procedures of the admissions committee
Experience with MVZ structures — ideally across multiple locations
You work independently and proactively and think in terms of options rather than only applications
Ability to prioritize under high workload and multiple concurrent processes
Strong communication skills and confident presence with KVen, medical associations, committees and executive management
High IT affinity and structured, reliable data maintenance
Nice to have: experience with M&A/integration in the outpatient sector · knowledge of PVS/practice management systems (e.g., Tomedo) · an established network within KV structures
