Provide information and systems security support supervised by other team members
Analyze security logs and reports from firewalls and boundary protection devices to detect, investigate, and report on potential threats to system confidentiality, integrity, and availability
Identify vulnerabilities that are applicable to systems and applications to assess their severity and urgency
Work with other IT staff to track corrective action, resolution progress, and mitigation of vulnerabilities
Conduct research on emerging cyber threats and threat actors to help develop and refine threat intelligence campaigns
Assist in developing materials for security awareness programs
Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues with cybersecurity controls to ensure their effective operation
Support operations and maintenance of cybersecurity toolsets
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program pursuing a degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
No experience required
Valid Driver’s License
No professional certification required
Must be a US citizen
Basic understanding of computer networking concepts (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP)
Familiarity with multiple operating systems (Windows, Linux)
An interest in or exposure to scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) is a plus
