Provide clear, practical and risk-based legal advice across a broad range of complex matters
Support organisational projects and programmes by identifying legal risks and helping shape effective solutions
Draft legal documents, guidance, contracts, presentations and training materials
Contribute to litigation and external legal challenges, including supporting court and tribunal proceedings
Build strong working relationships across the organisation and with external stakeholders
Support organisational learning by sharing legal insight and contributing to legal knowledge management
Requirements
Experience of providing high-quality legal advice in a regulatory, public law or similarly complex environment
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret legislation, case law and regulatory principles confidently
The ability to communicate complex legal issues clearly and practically to a range of audiences
A collaborative and inclusive approach, with the ability to build effective relationships across teams and stakeholders
Sound decision-making skills and the ability to balance legal risk, proportionality and organisational priorities
The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment
Professional integrity, adaptability and a strong sense of accountability
Experience in areas such as public law, equality and human rights, information law, procurement or professional regulation would be particularly valuable.
