Serves as a Long-Term Care Resource Analyst by planning, directing, coordinating, and monitoring the reviews of medical eligibility determinations including Long-Term Care (LTC) applications
Obtains documentation provided by various resources for the asset review
Compiles and updates program documents including policy memoranda and manual releases
Reviews documentation and identifies incorrect medical eligibility determinations, including those related to LTC (unallowable transfers and unreported assets) to reduce the number of medical eligibility determinations and LTC applications in error
Confers with supervisor and other management staff on all levels of the review process
Requirements
Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college, preferably with course work in business or public administration
Requires one (1) year of responsible administrative experience in a public or business organization, or completion of an agency approved professional management training program
Requires a minimum of one (1) year of experience utilizing and interpreting Medical Eligibility policies and procedures pertinent to all medical programs including long term care
Requires a minimum of one (1) year of experience determining medical eligibility by applying investigative techniques and concepts
Requires a minimum of one (1) year of experience interpreting and disseminating government programs, policies, and objectives in verbal and written form
