Acting as a tax specialist for the firm with regard to preparing income tax return schedules and other tax compliance workbooks
Analyzing data provided by the Accounting & Finance Department
Preparing tax schedules for the preparation of U.S. federal and state partnership income tax returns, sales and use tax returns, and other tax compliance requirements
Assisting in coordinating the process of providing information to external tax accountants
Working with the Senior Tax Analysts to prepare certain general ledger analyses and perform quality assurance procedures
Calculating and preparing the partners’ U.S. and international tax calculations
Maintaining a compliance schedule of all U.S. federal, state, and international tax returns
Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains
Requirements
A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or working progress toward CPA license, preferably
A minimum of one (1) year of experience in public accounting at a multi-office professional services organization, preferably
Experience with preparing U.S. federal and state partnership income tax returns, preferably
