About this role
Role Overview
Perform pricing and cost proposal development in accordance with customer requirements and current government regulations, laws and company policies.
Provide pricing support for all phases of the proposal process from pre-RFP activities through fact-finding, government audits, negotiations and award.
Assess RFP requirements – translating them into a fully compliant cost proposal.
Develop pricing strategies, constructing flexible cost/pricing Excel models, and meeting schedule and compliance requirements to submit compelling and winning cost volumes.
Develop detailed bidding guidelines which are used to initiate proposals
Work with functions from across the company to develop the labor, material and other direct costs associated with proposed contracts
Provide support for the development of Basis of Estimates to include validating and analyzing actuals, ensuring consistency within task descriptions, and confirming estimating approach is sound
Utilize company estimating and pricing programs and tools
Prepare and present limited complexity charts for program/company leadership review of proposal information
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business or Finance or related field of study
Experience with Microsoft Office products, specifically Microsoft Excel (i.e., basic formulas, lookup functions, pivot tables, filtering/sorting, etc.)
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), (TINA) and/or other government procurement regulations as they pertain to bid/cost proposals.
Possess good investigative/analytical abilities
Strong organization skills
Demonstrated ability to consistently meet deadlines in a schedule driven environment
Effective planning and scheduling skills that lead to the completion of proposal efforts in accordance with customer and company requirements
Effective communication skills – including verbal, written and presentation skills
Experience in ProPricer pricing software is desired but not required
Active Secret Clearance is a plus, but not required
