About this role
Role Overview
Provide ADH management and team members with advice on all legal, privacy, and compliance matters.
Serve as ADH's liaison to Allianz Group legal, privacy, and compliance functions.
Adapt and translate Allianz Group requirements for ADH as a non-insurance, non-regulated entity, while building a trusted network with Group peers.
Cover a wide range of topics with a primary focus on legal advice, including contract drafting, negotiation and management (notably IT-related contracts with ADH customers and suppliers), third-party risk management, legal change management, and corporate housekeeping.
Maintain a robust data protection and compliance framework, including staff training and risk assessments (e.g., privacy impact assessments, non-financial risk management).
Requirements
Completed a law degree (e.g., Second German State Examination, LL.M., Doctor of Laws, or European equivalent); privacy certification (e.g., CIPP/E) is a plus.
Minimum three years' professional experience: experienced in contract and IT law, with prior work in a law firm or as in-house counsel handling privacy, IT law, and regulatory matters.
Fluency in English, including legal terminology.
Ability to draft, review and negotiate IT contracts, including software-as-a-service data processing agreements, joint controller and controller-to-controller agreements; draft data privacy and compliance policies and standards; and design harmonized privacy and compliance processes.
Motivated to work autonomously across a broad array of legal, regulatory and privacy topics.
Experience serving as a data protection officer and/or compliance officer.
Knowledge of legal aspects of information security (e.g., EU DORA, NIS-2), digitalization regulation (including artificial intelligence), and (non-financial) risk management is a plus.
Target-oriented and diligent by nature; comfortable working within a broader team while maintaining a high level of personal accountability.
