Manage and strengthen the partnership between Current and national account at distributor/customer HQ (all functions), field sales leadership and key stakeholders
Maximize stock and flow distributor programs, sales/marketing strategy
Execute locally with Current regional sales teams and agents, and at the electrical contractor
Responsible for driving Current’s strategic imperatives to the field, creating a “one GE” experience for national account and their end users
Accountable for developing and successfully implementing growth strategies, in addition to an operating rhythm that fosters follow-up and accountability to exceed financial goals
Responsible for all Current fixtures, controls and lamp products (former Hubbell and GE Lighting brands)
Exhibit a strong leadership presence and the ability to effectively communicate at all levels of an organization, interfacing at corporate headquarters as well as field sales leadership levels – internally and externally
Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited University or College
Lighting Industry experience (electrical products may be considered)
Minimum 2-4 years of lighting sales
Experience calling on HQ of national/regional electrical distribution or MRO partners (Wesco, Sonepar, AD Buying Group, Grainger for example)
Highly motivated with strong negotiation skills both externally at the customer and internally within all departments
Ability to manage multiple levels of the lighting sales process including customer, agent and distribution partners while driving toward successful sales closure
Outstanding communication, presentation, and PC skills
Self-starter, creative and strategic thinker
Lighting technical expertise with ability to communicate product features-benefits (from novice distributor sellers to experienced electrical contractors)
