Own mechanical design and integration of electrical systems within large, complex vehicle platforms, ensuring robust routing, protection, and packaging.
Design and develop installation hardware (e.g., brackets, harness routing, enclosures) that balance performance with durability.
Drive cross-functional collaboration across product development, manufacturing, supply chain, commercial, and product support teams to deliver optimized solutions.
Partner with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure manufacturability, serviceability, and lifecycle efficiency while supporting supplier development.
Lead prototype builds, validation, and testing activities, including fit, form, function, and durability assessments.
Establish design requirements and lead design reviews to ensure alignment with engineering standards, best practices, and environmental/mechanical constraints.
Mentor and guide project teams, influencing technical decisions, resolving complex issues, and driving alignment across diverse stakeholders.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related accredited engineering discipline.
Project Management: expert-level ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control complex engineering projects involving multiple stakeholders.
Technical Excellence: strong technical depth and the ability to develop solutions to significant engineering challenges while engaging the right subject matter experts.
Influencing Through Expertise: proven ability to communicate complex ideas clearly, provide credible recommendations, and influence decisions with evidence-based insight.
Team Management: demonstrated ability to lead teams, unify contributors around shared objectives, and maintain momentum through execution.
Requirements Analysis: experience translating business and technical needs into clear requirements, documentation, and traceable deliverables.
Troubleshooting Technical Problems: ability to evaluate business impact, isolate root causes, and resolve difficult technical problems in a manufacturing or product environment.
Product Design and Development: experience guiding products, technologies, or services from concept through development and into production or deployment.
Proven ability to lead multiple large scale engineering projects from concept through production in a cross-functional environment.
Experience with large mining trucks, heavy equipment, or other equipment related to mining applications.
Computer-Aided Design & Engineering: Extensive experience with Creo, Vis View, and Teamcenter, Electric SDP.
Background in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or integrated systems design.
Hands-on experience with vehicle systems integration, including routing, packaging, structural interfaces, and installation design.
