About this role
Role Overview
- conducts component and product integration
- manages product and systems requirements, specifications and flow down
- drives validation and verification activities for the overall product/system, including system level testing
- responsible for defining product requirements for the module/component/subcontractors and partners teams
- manages interface between components and execution organizations
- responsible for driving CTQ/Risk trades within the teams designing the components
- manages the overall product configuration and configuration control system
- developing in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline
- provides informal guidance to new team members
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering from an accredited university or college
- 4 years of experience in systems engineering for highly regulated industry
- eligibility to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government
- reported in office to the Markham office 3 days a week
- experience in performing independent, or preferably team based, system design or technical reviews including interfacing with requirements management
- Instrumentation and Controls system and / or platform systems engineering experience
- Nuclear system engineering experience
- Boiling Water Reactor / Small Module Reactor design experience
- solves technical challenges through application of common design patterns and identifying appropriate patterns for use in problem solving
- experience with typical engineering project design methods from requirements definition through confirmation testing of final design
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
