Work in close partnership with CBC Alberta, ensuring the needs of Alberta and national CBC audiences are met
Pitching and producing items for a weekly Alberta-based news and politics show
Contributing ideas and executing video and social content to grow the audience
Executing best practices for podcast packaging and promotion
Writing and structuring interviews and panel scripts
Editing, mixing and publishing interviews and weekly audio episodes

At least 3 years experience working on audio programs (news or current affairs, long form, serialized, talk or panel based)
Knowledgeable and passionate about Alberta news, current affairs and politics
Experience working on tight deadlines in collaboration with news teams
Knowledgeable about the CBC’s Journalistic Standards and Practices or similar standards in another large journalistic organization
Skilled storyteller who loves to write and produce for the ear
