About this role
Role Overview
Develop original graphics and illustrations for apparel that reflect the men’s Urban Outfitters aesthetic and direction.
Create original textile artwork and repeat patterns for apparel.
Build seasonal and thematic concept decks for graphics aligned with brand initiatives and seasonal design direction in-mind.
Utilize AI tools to bring seasonal and thematic graphic presentations to life.
Create and implement original artwork into the development of apparel trims.
Collaborate closely with the Men’s Design, Merchandising, and Concept teams to ensure cohesive seasonal collections.
Translate brand concepts, trend research, and seasonal themes into innovative graphics and print design.
Source and manipulate materials, patterns, and textures for apparel graphics and craft execution.
Work with production teams to prepare print-ready files for screen printing, digital printing, embroidery, and other embellishment methods.
Stay on top of streetwear, fashion, and lifestyle trends to ensure designs remain relevant and culturally resonant.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining high creative standards.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Textile Design, or related field preferred.
1+ years of experience in apparel graphic/print design, preferably in men’s lifestyle brand.
Strong understanding of trend forecasting, color theory, typography, and illustration.
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
Experience with CAD and print production processes is a plus.
Strong conceptual and visual storytelling skills, with the ability to translate brand voice into design.
Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and collaborative with excellent communication skills.
