About this role
Role Overview
- Assist with organizing and filing accounting documents (invoices, receipts, bank statements, etc.);
- Assist with account reconciliations by reviewing entries and identifying discrepancies;
- Help prepare basic accounting reports and financial statements;
- Provide support entering data into the accounting system;
- Assist with tax calculations and ancillary tax filings under supervision;
- Support monthly and annual closing procedures;
- Help organize and maintain control spreadsheets;
- Conduct research on accounting and tax regulations and legislation;
- Collaborate with other departments on requests involving accounting information;
- Perform other administrative and accounting support tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting (expected to graduate within 3 years of starting the internship).
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, at a basic to intermediate level;
