Civil Engineer, Environmental Engineer, Industrial Engineer (Construction) – Project Engineer, Sewer & Water Pipeline Construction

Role Overview

• You work on infrastructure projects in service phases 1–5 of HOAI and, depending on experience, take on your own project responsibility
• Focus areas include: detailed design (object planning) in sewer construction, new sewer systems, stormwater retention basins, pre-treatment facilities and wastewater pumping stations
• Development of residential and commercial areas on existing sites or greenfield developments
• Planning and assessment of municipal drainage systems
• Hydraulic calculations and simulations: flow rates, surcharging/overflows, flow paths, and network performance
• Water pipeline construction, pressure pipelines and general pipeline works, including trenchless/closed construction methods in existing areas
• Simulation of water supply networks, firefighting water quantities, supply reserves and the impacts of new developments
• Sewer rehabilitation including evaluation of CCTV inspections, condition assessment and development of repair or rehabilitation concepts
• Preparation of drainage applications, site drainage, compliance with DIN 1986 and flood/overflow verifications
• Coordination with clients, authorities and project stakeholders
• Reviewing and commenting on planning documents
• Project accounting as well as contributing to contracts, additional services and change orders
• Your role is centered on technical planning, assessment, organization and project control.

Requirements

• Completed degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or Industrial Engineering with a focus on construction
• Ideally experience in sewer construction, drainage, water pipeline construction, urban water management or infrastructure planning
• Preferably 2–3 years of professional experience; motivated career starters are also welcome
• Independent, careful and structured way of working
