About this role
Role Overview
Provide regulatory guidance for the Global Seeds Business Platforms
Support for Manufacturing/Production Facilities, Research Locations, Laboratories, and various Corporate Functions
Perform Environmental Calculations (Primarily Air Emission) independently in support of Environmental Permitting
Preparation and submission of Environmental Permit Applications for Global Operations
Negotiate Permits, Fines, and Regulatory Advocacy Positions on behalf of both the Business and Individual Sites
Support Programs and Regulatory Solutions which are in alignment with the Corporate Sustainability Objectives
Lead and Participate in Environmental Multi-media Regulatory Compliance Audits
Provide Environmental Expertise for Management of Change Reviews
Provide Guidance and Support for Environmental Compliance Corrective Actions
Review, Interpret, and Communicate Environmental Regulatory Laws and Regulations
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required, Chemical or Environmental Engineering degree strongly preferred
A minimum of 7 years’ prior work experience in a related Environmental Position
Prior work experience in a Manufacturing Environment is desired
Proficient in Workstation Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Proficient technical writing skills
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization
Ability to work independently and error free
Ability to work proficiently on multiple projects simultaneously
Effective Leadership Skills
Effective Negotiating Skills
Periodic travel is required (10% to 30%)
Ability to periodically work at elevated surfaces and in a Grain or Chemical Handling Environment
