About this role
Role Overview
- Act as the technical authority for security design decisions across cloud, infrastructure, identity, endpoint, and application domains
- Own and evolve security architecture patterns, reference designs, and hardening standards
- Define, document, and maintain security engineering standards, baselines, and configuration requirements
- Own the technical quality of security controls – what “good” looks like, how it’s configured, and why
- Be hands-on configuring, implementing, and improving security controls where depth of expertise is required
- Lead complex or high-risk security engineering work (identity, conditional access, endpoint controls, logging, monitoring, cloud security)
- Work alongside the SOC Lead, providing design guidance, escalation support, and technical expertise
- Provide technical assurance that security controls are implemented as designed
Requirements
- Proven applied experience in cyber security or security engineering role in Financial Services
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing security controls at scale
- Experience working with
- Microsoft security technology (Highly Desirable)
- Networking infrastructure (Firewalls)
- Email Security platforms
- Endpoint protection technology
- Identity and Access management
- Experience in working with industry compliance and security standards such as PCI DSS, ISO 27001, NIST
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (highly desirable)
- Strong communication skills and a team player
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
