Assist in the end-to-end development of high-impact paid social ads and organic content across all major social channels
Take the lead on managing our cinema-focused Instagram handle
Proactively brainstorm and execute content based on trending concepts, sounds, and cultural moments
Contribute to data-driven growth plans for TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest and Threads
Oversee our user-generated social campaign, including reviewing submissions and managing the social promotion strategies
Provide critical support during product launch cycles
Support the social promotion of our prestigious Canon Explorer of Light program
Collaborate with the broader marketing team to support marketing efforts for key products and services
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience required, plus 3 to 5 years of professional social media experience (agency or in-house)
Deep understanding of the social media landscape, specifically the algorithms and best practices for TikTok and Instagram
A passion for photography and filmmaking. Familiarity with cinema-grade equipment and the professional production industry is a significant plus
Ability to identify high-quality visual assets and understand the aesthetic standards of the Canon brand
Comfortable using social analytics tools to track growth and pivot strategies based on performance data
Exceptional writing skills with the ability to shift tone from "playful" and "trendy" to "professional" and "technical".
