About this role
Role Overview
- Process Canadian payroll for employees across multiple provinces
- Audit payroll data and resolve discrepancies
- Administer hires, terminations, ROEs, leaves, and payroll adjustments
- Ensure compliance with CRA and provincial legislation
- Manage statutory remittances (CPP, EI, income tax)
- Prepare year-end filings (T4, T4A, RL-1)
- Reconcile payroll to the general ledger
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries
- Partner with HR, Finance, and third-party vendors
- Lead payroll-related projects (system updates, configuration changes, new process rollouts)
Requirements
- 10+ years Canadian payroll experience
- PCP certification required
- Strong knowledge of CRA and provincial payroll legislation
- Experience with Workday, ADP Workforce Now, ADP Workforce Manager or similar systems
- Advanced Excel skills
