Own a slice of the product. Take ownership of a defined area within a Product team’s remit, from understanding the problem to shipping the solution and learning from how customers use it.
Prototype, don’t brief. Build working prototypes using low-code and AI-assisted tools before engineering resources are committed. Test what you’ve built early.
Get close to customers. Listen to Gong calls. Join customer conversations. Bring signal into product decisions directly, not through second-hand reports.
Help build the commercial case. Contribute to the internal case for what gets built
what, why, for whom, and what the business outcome is.
Work cross-functionally. Partner directly with engineers, GTM, and tax SMEs to move work forward.
Ship and learn. Get product into customers’ hands, measure what happens, and iterate.
Requirements
Builder credibility (non-negotiable). You’ve personally built things
prototypes, tools, workflows. You can pick up Base44, Lovable, Cursor, or equivalent and ship something without waiting for engineering. You can show what you’ve built, not just describe it.
Real customer proximity. You’ve spoken directly to customers and let what you heard change what you built. You don’t treat customer contact as someone else’s job.
Commercial instinct. You can explain why something should be built
for whom, and what outcome it drives. You think about products as commercial decisions, not just user problems.
Pace and judgement. You move before the brief is perfect. You’ve shipped something imperfect, learned from it, and moved on. Ambiguity doesn’t stop you, it tells you where to focus.
Cross-functional instinct. You work well with engineers, sales, and domain experts. You don’t wait for someone to create alignment for you.
AI in your own workflow. You use AI tools actively in how you work as a PM. You have a view on how the role itself is changing.
Appetite for ownership. This is an IC role with room to grow. We’re looking for someone who treats the scope as a starting point, not a ceiling.
