About this role
Role Overview
Define and execute the Canadian HSE strategy aligned with Veriforce’s corporate objectives and regulatory obligations.
Serve as a senior HSE advisor to the President, Canada and executive leadership team.
Oversee the development, governance, and continuous improvement of contractor compliance and risk standards.
Ensure full compliance with Canadian federal and provincial health, safety, and environmental legislation.
Represent Veriforce Canada at industry forums, regulatory bodies, and sector associations.
Drive audit integrity, quality assurance programs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Partner with Sales and Client teams to support strategic client engagements and complex risk discussions.
Monitor competitor activity, regulatory changes, and emerging ESG trends impacting contractor management.
Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing national HSE and compliance team.
Champion a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence across Veriforce Canada.
Requirements
10+ years of progressive leadership experience in Health, Safety & Environment within industrial, energy, construction, or compliance-driven sectors.
Deep knowledge of Canadian federal and provincial HSE legislation and regulatory frameworks.
Experience leading HSE strategy within a multi-site or national organization.
Strong understanding of contractor management, supply chain risk, and compliance systems.
Demonstrated ability to influence executive stakeholders and external regulators.
Industry-recognized certification such as CRSP and CSP.
Post-secondary degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related discipline preferred.
Willingness to travel nationally as required.
Bilingual (French, English)
Membership with CSSE or other recognized professional HSE associations are considered an asset.
