Take ownership of regulatory aspects of our hardware development — from early concept through to a product ready for manufacturing
Analyze which product, radio, and electrical safety certifications are required for new products based on their intended markets and technical specifications
Translate certification requirements into concrete design recommendations for the hardware team
Plan, book, and follow up tests with external testing institutes and act as Axis's technical representative
Ensure that all necessary documentation is in place and that the project's certification schedule is maintained
Collaborate closely with other departments at Axis to stay updated on new and changed global standards and disseminate this knowledge within development projects
Requirements
Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
Familiarity with regulatory certification processes, such as EMC, RED, and Safety directives
Demonstrated experience in working with regulatory test houses when developing hardware products
Ability to work collaboratively across functions and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders
A proactive approach with high initiative and a drive to deliver quality results
Fluent in English (required for daily work)
Basic proficiency in Swedish
Willingness to travel occasionally
