The Sr. Investigative Analyst is responsible for protecting The Standard’s assets, brand, customers, and reputation by investigating allegations of potential fraud
Identifies potential fraud cases through analysis of data and leveraging of technology
Works collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders on investigations and conducts trend analysis to develop and deliver detailed reports at the enterprise level
Independently leads analytical investigations with medium to high risk or complexity and is responsible for leveraging technology to identify potential fraud cases and taking appropriate action on an individual case basis
Documents and maintains case files and decision-making processes specific to activity investigated
Updates and maintains fraud sharing networks and tracking databases, keeps business areas updated on results and industry trends
Prepares fraud investigative and trending reports for senior leadership at the enterprise-level and may prepare and file reports with law enforcement and other anti-fraud stakeholders
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree Mathematics, Criminal Justice, or closely related field
Five (5) years of experience in insurance, financial crimes, law enforcement, or criminal analysts background or a combination of education and/or relevant experience
Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skills and utilization of technology resources to conduct research
1+ year of insurance or financial industry experience with in-depth knowledge of insurance operations
Hands-on experience handling complex investigations while following established protocol and making risk-based decisions in compliance with company, legal, and regulatory requirements
Skilled in using internal/external contacts and technology resources to research, investigate, and analyze data to create investigation reports
