Leads customer engagement to ensure that it meets all scope, time, budget and quality expectations, through planning, controlling and managing customer projects.
Manages corporate, customer and third party vendor efforts to plan, sell and implement solutions to customer problems.
Responsible for business as well as team management.
Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert.
Frequently contributes to the development of new ideas and methods.
Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors.
Manages medium to large projects with more than 20 team members, including responsibility for project scope, schedule, and cost.
Manage client relationships.
Manage mid to upper-level client delivery relationships.
Manage communication to the project team and stakeholders.
Manage risks and issues in projects and lead them to closure.
Maintain requirements traceability matrix, working with business analysts and architects.
Enable team collaboration by conducting workshops, meetings, etc.
Follow up on tasks assigned to project team members and resolve blockers to enable teams to make progress.
Escalate issues to senior management and stakeholders to resolve impediments.
Own project management deliverables such as project charter, project plan, and reports.
Work with testing teams to ensure test phases are carried out per plan.
Ensure change and release management processes are followed for implementing changes in production environments and transitioning to support teams.
Track organizational metrics and ensure processes are followed during project execution.
Manage project financials, including P&L.
Meet or exceed approved budgets.
Provide reliable financial forecasts to management.
Manage business development activities.
Identify and develop new opportunities within current projects.
Support qualification and opportunity assessment for large and moderately complex opportunities.
Act as opportunity manager for medium to high-risk deals.
Requirements
First Level University degree.
7 years experience in project management or in like roles/businesses.
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, or related discipline with over 7 years of experience implementing IT solutions as a project manager in the Telco industry.
Minimum 3–5 full life cycle IT implementations as an IT project manager in the Telco industry.
Excellent oral and written communication, presentation, meeting management, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
High internal drive/self-initiative; strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Deep knowledge and experience in project management methodologies—waterfall, agile, lean, etc.
Experience following best practices and project management standards.
Demonstrated eagerness to learn new methods, follow leadership, and achieve results.
Thorough understanding of project management artifacts and deliverables.
Good understanding of software test methodologies; exposure to test management tools is a plus.
Formal education or certification in Project Management (PMP) is preferred.
Experience with vendor engagement, statements of work, and procurement processes is a plus.
Fluency in English.
