About this role
Role Overview
- Design and build distributed, event-driven backend services
- Lead end-to-end development: from planning and coding to deployment and observability.
- Collaborate cross
- functionally with product, design, and infrastructure teams.
- Participate in architecture reviews, technical decision-making, and system documentation.
- Help shape engineering culture by mentoring teammates and championing clean, maintainable code.
- Ensure high reliability and availability through robust testing, logging, and incident response practices.
Requirements
- 6 + years of professional backend development experience.
- Deep understanding of distributed systems architecture and design principles.
- Strong knowledge of event-driven systems, including experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ , or similar platforms.
- Proficiency in Go, Java, or another modern backend language.
- Experience with scalable APIs, system integration, and real-time data pipelines.
- Understanding of system performance, observability, and monitoring (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry ).
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down and simplify complex systems.
- Hands-on experience working in an AI-native development environment , including integrating LLMs or AI services into product features, using AI-assisted development tooling, or building on top of AI APIs ( e.g. OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.)
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD tooling.
- Fluency in English.
