Lead the development and integration of advanced embedded cybersecurity technologies for GE Aerospace products and platforms
Architect and apply secure embedded solutions across hardware, firmware, and software environments for mission-critical aerospace applications
Partner with hardware, software, firmware, and toolchain developers to identify, evaluate, and implement cybersecurity solutions for complex product needs
Lead medium
to large-scale technical projects, driving execution from concept definition through implementation and transition into product environments
Help mature innovative cybersecurity capabilities into product-ready solutions that can be deployed across GE Aerospace platforms
Contribute to technical strategy and roadmap definition for secure embedded platforms, aligning innovation with business and product priorities
Document technical approaches, design outcomes, and innovations through patent applications, technical reports, publications, and internal engineering deliverables
Stay current on emerging trends in embedded cybersecurity, platform security, and secure system design, and apply that knowledge to new product opportunities
Collaborate across GE Aerospace businesses, engineering teams, and external stakeholders including U.S. Government agencies
Shape and lead technical proposals and response strategies for internal business opportunities and external customers
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline with a minimum of 15 years of industry experience, OR Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline with a minimum of 10 years of industry experience, OR Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline with a minimum of 7 years of industry experience
Experience with embedded devices and processors such as Xilinx, NXP, Microchip, or similar platforms
Experience with hardware-based security technologies such as UEFI, TPM, ARM TrustZone, and Secure Boot
Experience in embedded systems software development, including areas such as computer architecture, Linux OS, and/or RTOS
Experience with Linux operating system security
Experience with networking protocols and network security
Strong embedded programming skills in languages such as C/C++, Python, ADA
Familiarity with CNSA 1.0/2.0 and NIST cryptographic algorithms and standards
This role requires the successful candidate to maintain a US Government Security Clearance; prerequisite for a security clearance is U.S. Citizenship
Preference will be given to candidates who currently hold US Government Security Clearance.
