Develop and maintain appropriate privacy, security, and other related policies
Advise the business on privacy and security matters, including HIPAA, GLBA, HITRUST, and state privacy regulations including CCPA
Provide legal advice to various groups within the company, particularly relating to laws and regulations applicable to operation of the company’s technology platform for selling health insurance
Draft and negotiate agreements with vendors, business partners, health insurance companies, technology licensors, and other third parties
Requirements
8+ years of legal experience, including at a law firm and/or prior in-house experience with a focus in privacy and healthcare matters and/or technology platforms
J.D. degree and membership in at least one U.S. state bar
Ability to identify risks and propose alternative structures to mitigate risks that meet business needs
Self-motivated team player with the ability to learn quickly, identify and resolve legal and business issues, drive projects and earn the confidence of and cooperation of your business partners
